Historic Ships Project

You will be researching a historic ship that was assigned by your teacher and presenting information in class. You will be using the SLCS databases and other approved websites to conduct your research. Remember, notes are taken using treasure words and information should not be copied word-for-word from the Internet. You will need to include the following information about your ship: size, dimensions (length and width), capacity (how much could it hold), purpose, personnel (how many people and what kind of jobs did they have), what happened to your ship (where is is now?), technology and equipment on board, and any interesting facts.

You will be using notebook paper to take your notes during the research phase. When you have completed all research, we will be putting the information into a graphic organizer to help you organize your thoughts and prepare for your oral report. The template for your chart is available on your Y: drive and is called Ship Information Table. Make sure to use "Save As" to save it to your class folder on your Y: drive.
